Betty Krawczyk has been incarcerated at ACCW since March 5th 2007 for breaking a court injunction granted to Kiewiett & Son's. Betty blockaded along with other protesters in an attempt to stop the destruction of Eagleridge Bluffs in West Vancouver. This fragile eco-system was obliterated for the expansion of the Sea to Sky Highway as required for real estate developments, with the official pretext of building infrastructure for the 2010 Olympics.

She will be welcomed back on Wednesday, September 26th and Friday September 28th at the following events:

"Afterparty" wins honourable mention in 2007 West Coast Song Writers Contest

Spirathon is proud to announce that his instrumental composition "Afterparty," co-written with producer Kevin Kane, won hounourable mention at this year's 2007 West Coast Song Writers Contest.

Afterparty is one of 14 songs from Spirathon's self-titled debut album.

Spirathon is set to appear on Urban Rush, Thursday November 24th, performing "Cherry Girl" from their new self-titled debut album. Urban Rush, the popular Vancouver news show hosted by Michael Eckford and Fiona Forbes airs across British Columbia:

"Earthship" part of "Cates for Cancer"

Spirathon’s environmental anthem "Earthship" has been included as part of the "CATES FOR CANCER Compilation CD." This new CD contains 2 Discs - 26 Original Songs - proceeds go to the BC Cancer Foundation. Minimum $15 Donation. Get your copy at all the Concert Series or at Deep Cove Music. All the artists will perform in a series of free outdoor summer concerts entitled the “Cates Park Concert Series” held at Cates Park in Deep Cove, North Vancouver, every Saturday from July 9th to August 20th from 4-7 pm.

 

 

 


Stephen Jeffery performs at SILT benefit - March 19, 2005

Stephen Jeffery performed at a musical benefit for SILT, opening for Van Django, Saturday March 19th 2005 at the Ironworks Studio in Vancouver B.C.

Savary Island is a unique oasis and a BC treasure. Despite its charms, Savary's extremely fragile ecosystems have no adequate governmental or regulatory protection. SILT is a non profit society committed to preserving natural areas and biodiversity on Savary Island. The Benefit is meant to draw attention to the Island's needs and to raise funds for ongoing advocacy and preservation of natural space.
